Farm Pond Management – Delta

The “Farm Pond Management- Delta (FY14)” Extension In-Service originally scheduled for March 4, 2014 has been rescheduled for April 17, 2014.

If you were already enrolled in this in-service and plan on attending you don’t need to do anything further.

If you were enrolled in the March 4th class but can’t attend on April 17th please let Alyne Rothberg know as soon as possible (501-671-2130).

If you are not yet enrolled in this class, but would like to attend, there are still a few seats available.

This course will cover agent -identified priority topics from a list that includes site selection and pond construction, pond environment & water quality, sampling water, determining pond volume, managing
farm pond fisheries, species selection, stocking rates, balance, population dynamics, drawdowns, pond management practices (liming, fertilization, circulation and aeration), pond trouble-shooting (fish kills, sick fish, leaky ponds, muddy ponds), and pond safety.
